We recently bid a fond farewell to our dear colleague Sara Reader, who has retired after more than 25 years of loyal service. Originally a volunteer, Sara became a mainstay of Open Door over the years, lighting up No 39 Grosvenor Street with her pink accessories and warm heart.
As Guest Coordinator, Sara has played a key role in shaping the Guest experience at Open Door; she is much loved by Guests, staff and trustees and will be missed by us all. On her last day at work, we held a party outside No 39 and Guests past and present turned up to wish her well. There was barely a dry eye in the house during Sara’s speech as she talked about the role Open Door has played in her own life and wellbeing.
We wish Sara the very best of luck and look forward to seeing what she does next.
