Specsavers delivers 40 gift bags

We were delighted to welcome our friends at Specsavers Cheltenham (High Street and Sainsbury’s stores) to our Guest Hub, where they dropped off an amazing 40 gift bags. These were kindly prepared and donated by Mauve Optics through a Specsavers Giving Scheme, supporting people experiencing homelessness.

Jess and Emily are shown here with the bags, along with an extra treat kindly donated by Emily’s family – chocolates to include in our guests’ Christmas gift bags.

Each bag was filled with practical essentials such as hand warmers, gloves, socks, reusable hot drink cups, and notebooks. Thoughtful items like these can make a real difference and something as simple as taking away a hot drink on a cold day can lift someone’s spirits when times are tough.

Our charity partnership with Specsavers this year has been a real pleasure. We are incredibly grateful not only for the generous donations and fundraising support, but also for the free eye appointments for our guests who might otherwise be unable to access an optician.

A big thank you to the team at Specsavers Cheltenham – your support truly means a great deal to us and our guests at Open Door.
